CYE Penkim annual session: Annual session of Christian Youth Endeavour (CYE) of Penkim village will be held from December 3 to 5 at Penkim Baptist Church. Mahkhe, Mission Promoter Yimchungru Baptist Boru Amukhongto (YBBA) would be the resource person. Director of CYE Penkim village Youtsulim Yim informed all members and students studying in various places to attend at the function.
SOSU emergency meeting: Satakha Old Students’ Union (SOSU) has convened an emergency meeting on November 28, 12:30 pm at its president’s residence at Purana bazaar, Dimapur. All executive members residing in Dimapur and Kohima have been requested to attend the meeting.
KSUD 19th executive session: Khiamniungan Students’ Union Dimapur (KSUD) has convened its 19th executive meeting session on November 29, 10:30am at its treasurer’s residence. All office bearers, executive members and college students have been requested to attend the meeting.
CLCSUD 13th annual social: City Law College Students’ Union Dimapur (CLCSUD) would be organizing its 13th annual social (freshers’ day cum parting social) on November 26, 12:30pm at its college campus. K. L. Chishi, MLA, would grace the occasion as the chief guest. All students, past pupils have been requested to attend the function.
DDAPU emergency meeting: Dimapur District Ao Pensioners’ Union (DDAPU) has convened an emergency meeting on November 26, 9am at its treasurer’s residence to discuss some urgent matters in view of union annual general meeting scheduled to be held on December 3. All members have been requested to attend the meeting.
SAKK emergency meeting: Sumi Aphuyemi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu (SAKK) has convened an emergency meeting on November 26 at its Banker’s residence at Kohima. All executive members have been requested to attend the meeting.
AZSU AMN 33rd Dimki session: All Zeliang Students’ Union Assam, Manipur & Nagaland (AZSU AMN) would conduct its 33rd Dimki session on November 28, 10am at Jribam, Manipur. All federal units, Zeliangrong frontal organizations, senior leaders, tribunals have been requested to attend the meeting.
S.W PWD (R&B) staff annual picnic cum election: Sumi Welfare PWD (R&B) staff Dimapur division would conduct its annual picnic cum election of new office bearers on November 27, 10:30am at PWD rest house. All members have been requested to attend the event.
DKSU executive meeting: Dimapur Kyong Students’ Union (DKSU) has convened its executive meeting on November 24, 2pm at the union’s office. All executive members have been requested to attend the meeting.
UBC silver jubilee: Union Baptist Church (UBC) Borlengri Karbi Anglong will be celebrating its silver jubilee on December 4 and 5 on the theme ‘Unity in Christ’. New Life Bible College director Rev. Dr. Xashepn Wotsa, Goshen Home Ministry director Rev. Kumar Pilai and Lotha Baptist Church Dimapur associate pastor Yanbemo Ovüng would be the speakers of the programme. UBC has requested all former pastors, church leaders, believers and well wishers to pray for the programme and attend the same.
NPCC inform members: Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has informed that 83rd plenary session of the Indian National Congress (INC) has been scheduled for December 18 to 20. In this regard, all AICC, and PCC members have been requested to submit their postal address along with 3 thumb size passport to the NPCC office by November 30.
CBC golden jubilee: Chenwetnyu Baptist Church (CBC) golden jubilee would be held from December 17 to 19 on the theme “Liberty in Christ”. Speakers for the occasion would be general secretary NBCC Rev. Dr. L. Anjo Keikung; executive secretary Konyak Baptist Bumeinok Bangjum, Chemyuh Konyak. Jubilee planning committee has requested all Chenwetnyu citizens to report the village by December 5 and extend help to the Church for the event.
Launching of documentary work: Minister for school education and SCERT, Nyeiwang Konyak will grace the training on RTE Act 2009, Community and launch the documentary work on “Good practices of Community towards Elementary Education in Nagaland on November 24, 10:30am at Zonal Council Hall, Kohima.
Training on fixation of pay on promotion/ACP: Joint director, treasuries & accounts, training, research & monitoring institute, Purana bazaar has informed that a training on fixation of pay on promotion/ACP, pension/family pension as laid down in Nagaland services (ROP) rules for JDAs and Sr.D.As working in various works division within Dimapur district would held from December 2 to 8 and 9 to15.
NPF CEC meeting: Naga People’s Front (NPF) CEC meeting would be held on November 24, 11am at its central office. The meeting would be chaired by Huskha Yepthomi, senior vice president, followed by a pre-Christmas celebration.
HSATUK night carnival: High School Area Traders Union Kohima (HSATUK) would be organizing Night Carnival at High School Junction Kohima from December 1 to 7. HSATUK asked all individuals, organizations intending to set-up stall to collect application forms from Flora (K.D) Shop at High School junction. Last date of submission forms is November 28.
CCSU joint meeting: Chang College Students Union (CCSU) Kohima joint meeting would be held on November 27 at its treasurer at 10am. All new team of executive and representatives from respective colleges have been informed to attend the meeting and submit agendas.
SASU session: The 60th annual session cum literary day of Southern Angami Students Union (SASU) would be held on November 27, 11 am at Jakhama Town Public Hall with Ketoho Luho, assistant development (planning) as chief guest.
INC plenary session: In view of the 83rd plenary session of the Indian National Congress scheduled from December 18 – 20, all AICC and PCC members have been requested to submit their postal address along with three thumb size photographs to NPCC office latest by November 30.
DCC Phek to observe INC 125 years: DCC Phek would be organizing a programme to observe 125th anniversary of INC on November 29. All village units, area office bearers, DCC office bearers, PCC rank and file and well wishers have been requested to attend the function at 10.30am, Pfutsero Town Council Hall. S.I. Jamir, president NPCC would address the function.
Advocacy prog on AIDS
KIPHIRE/TUTHEZU, NOV 23 (NPN): An advocacy programme on HIV and AIDS was conducted by Network for Kiphire District People Living with HIV and AIDS at Tethezu Village on Tuesday.
Topics on stigma and discrimination, basic on HIV and AIDS, services available, human rights were dwelt upon by resource persons. Welcoming the participants, chairman Tethezu village council expressed gratitude for conducting such kind of programme at the village level and assured to extend support in future. He also exhorted the participants to learn more not by just participating but by making sure that lives of the next generation are saved from the epidemic of AIDS. The programme was chaired by program manager Serichum. The programme was attended by Church leaders, youth leaders, women leaders and village elders. Resource persons included Lithsa (District Support Net officer), Serichum (Program Manager) and E. Roseline (Counselor).
DMC trade license renewal
Dimapur: Renewal of Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) trade license for the year 2011 would commence from November 29 till December 20. All traders/business establishments/shopkeepers under DMC have been directed to renew license for which, several receiving counters have also been arranged. Defaulters would be penalized as per the law, DMC added.
