Empowering teachers through ‘Teach Next’

Delhi Public School, (DPS) Dimapur on Tuesday launched ‘Teach Next’ an e-learning system of education with principal ARTC School, Odila Jamir as chief guest.
The chief guest while inaugurating the ‘Teach Next’ lauded the initiatives taken by DPS Society Dimapur. She said that in modern world students should not be coerced to go to school but should rather willingly attend to enhance their performance.
While calling on schools to generate curiosity and something innovative to grasp a student’s interests, the chief guest egged on revolutionizing the traditional system of school so children would acclimatize themselves with the different changes and advancements of the world.
Congratulating DPS for its effort in bringing about a difference in the educational system, she said the newly launched system would be of great encouragement to other schools in the state.
Also speaking at the programme, Apok Jamir, one of the board members said audio visual system (AVS) was something and would revolutionize the teaching system in the state.
“India is a land of diversity, but when it comes to education, there is no distinction and it is an equal platform for all”, he added.
He also encouraged schools to imparting new ideas that involves active participation of students, parents, and teachers so they would be able to compete with the rest of the country.
In order to give opportunity to each level of learning, 34 class-rooms have been equipped with the AVS from nursery to 12 standard, Principal DPS, Arunjit Singh Dinsgha informed during his welcome speech.
‘Teach Next’ is a venture by Helix-an e-learning company.‘TeachNext” consists of a unique hardware and software design belonging to the NextEducation that focuses in meting out the school’s digitization needs and the content strictly follows the concerned Board guidelines and syllabus.
The setup box is controlled with a remote and contains lessons, solved examples and exercises in ‘audio-visual’ form and is projected on the class-room’s white board.
