Ministry of information and publicity of GPRN/NSCN has published the 2011 calendar as a tribute to the Naga pioneers who “awakened the spirit of nationalism” in the heart of the Nagas.
The MIP informed that part of the calendar contains WWI era pictures and names of Naga patriots who signed and submitted the 1929 Memorandum to British Statutory Commission also known as the ‘Simon Commission’, while the other part is dedicated to the present “Naga Reconciliation” process.
Stating that the calendar would be priced at Rs.150, the MIP requested the people to immediately contact its secretary at 9856775832 if anyone was found demanding higher price. It said disciplinary action would be taken against offender(s). It also appealed to all business establishments, shopkeepers and interested Nagas to purchase a copy each as it contained important historical facts.
Further, the MIP informed all regional authorities to contact the secretary for distribution in their respective regions. It may be mentioned that the calendar was released by GPRN/NSCN “Ato Kilonser” N. Kitovi Zhimomi during the 3rd Anniversary of Naga Unification.
