Hornbill international photo festival

: Hornbill International Photo Fest (Hip fest), sponsored by state government and managed by XL will be held from December 5 to 7 at The Millennium Hotel (Old Tourist Lodge, Kohima) with the theme “Colours of Nagaland”.
The exhibition and competition will open daily from 10am to 4pm. The last date of submission of photo is fixed on December 2 and forms can be availed from Portrait studio, Kohima/downloaded from www.xlnagaland.com
Addressing a press meet at Dream café, Kohima, XL Director Abu Metha said the competition would be open to any citizens of the world provided the photos were related to Nagaland either in colour or black and white. He said that the XL is managing the competition on “non profit” as a philanthropic gesture to the people as part the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and further thanked chief minister Neiphiu Rio for the support to organize the competition.
The panel of judges will be Heather Layton, Rochester University, USA, Alban (Germany) and Manish Khana (Delhi), besides local judges from Nagaland.
The prize money for he competition are `1,00,000 for 1st prize, `50,000 for second prize and `25,000 for third prize and ten consolation prizes of `5000 each.
