‘Chaka’ official mascot of NE Agri Expo 2010

The 2nd North East Agri Expo 2010, ‘Prosperity through Agriculture’ which is being hosted by government of Nagaland in partnership with federation of Indian chambers of commerce and industries (FICCI) and with sponsorship from ministry of DONER/NEC and ministry of agriculture would commence from December 15-19 at North East Regional Agri Expo Complex, 4th mile, Dimapur.
‘Chaka’, Mithun would be the official mascot at North East Agri Expo 2010. ‘Chaka’ is the image of the north east combined representing free spirit of the people and symbolizing strength and perseverance. ‘Chaka’ is also known for its playful, energetic, humourous and hard working nature, besides its weakness for food, song and dance.
All eight North Eastern states will be participating along with other key national and international participants including various ministries and departments from the government of India, agricultural universities, private organizations and neighboring Asian countries.
