KMC inter-ward cum pre-Christmas: Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) will conduct inter-ward cum pre-Christmas celebration on November 30, 4pm under the theme “Better City Better Life” at zonal council, Kohima with minister urban development and higher education Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu as chief guest.
KSC parting social: Kohima Science College (KSC) Jotsoma will be observing its 49th parting social on November 30, 10am at the college auditorium with R. Tohonba, parliamentary secretary information and public relations, economics and statistics as chief guest
Barbers’ meeting: Meeting of all barbers under the establishment of Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has been convened on December 3, 9am at KMC conference hall.
YAWD music festival: Youth Association of Wokha District (YAWD) would be organizing a music festival on December 21 at Don Bosco Youth Centre Wokha in aid of free coaching for HSLC students. The association has requested interested singers/bands to collect forms from M/S Shanpen & Sons shop Wokha and 4x4 Card Shop, opposite SBI Wokha or contact YAWD at 9856038256/9856215291/9862952963 for details. YAWD informed that festival would include bands and solo competition with cash prizes ranging from Rs.2000-10,000.
SVSU general session: Singti Village Students’ Union (SVSU) would be hosting 27th UBA general session from December 27 to 29 on the theme “Education an agent leads to socialization.” Secretary NPCC, Davis T.Sangtam would grace the occasion as chief guest.
AU, TU friendship meet: 2nd Friendship Meet of the Alisopur Union and Tsadang Union (AU, TU) Tuensang town was held at Tsadang village on November 20. The meeting was attended by members of both the villages, during which the unions resolved to remain committed and united in all activities, and to uphold the integrity of the unions.
Bus service for N. Longidang KBES-TS: In connection with the celebration of K.B.E.S Thongtssoe Sanrhyu of Nrung Longidang Baptist Church scheduled to be held from December 10-12, programme organizers have informed that bus service from Wokha to Nrung Longidang have been arranged. Buses will ply from Hotel Hathungo, near Sen’s Mixed at 1pm.
Vipassana meditation camp: A 10-day long Vipassana Meditation Gypsy Camp would be held from December 3-14 at Society of Dhamma Bodhi & Meditation, Kevija-u village Dimapur. ARSU meeting: Meeting of Atoizu Range Students’ Union (ARSU) editorial board and its executives has been convened on November 28, 12pm at the residence of Yevito Chisho, DIET Principal Mon at Diphupar (A) Dimapur.
Social work at Niu Colony: Colony council of Niu Colony Dimapur conducted a mass social work within the colony in the morning of November 27. All residents of the colony participated in the social work by cleaning their respective compounds and drains. As part of the day, the colony council and Sumi Totimi Hoho also destroyed liquor seized by them during the month of November.
RCN emergency meet: Emergency meeting of Rongmei Council, Nagaland (RCN) has been convened on November 29, 10am at REC office at Jalukie town.
Wokha GB’s plea to support census operation: Wokha town GB’s has appealed to GB’s union of Wokha district to support census operation, in the ensuing 2nd phase National census operation within their own jurisdiction.
ENSUK felicitation cum pre-Christmas: Eastern Naga Students’ Union Kohima (ENSUK) would be organizing its felicitation cum pre-Christmas on November 29, 3pm at Yimchunger Baptist Church Kohima. Keron Janger, member, Nagaland Public Service Commission and Phomlee Van, pastor Phom Baptist Church Kohima would be the guest of honour and speaker respectively. ENSUK informed all toppers of Class-X and subject toppers in degree for academic session 2009-10 to attend the function.
SMC annual-cum-parting social: Sakus Mission College would conduct its 16th annual-cum-parting social on November 30. Joint director land resources, Hoto Yepthomi would grace the occasion as chief guest.
LFDA fellowship-cum-picnic: Lazami Fellowship Dimapur Area (LFDA) fellowship-cum-picnic would be held on December 4 at the residence of pastor Hozukhe Ilhoshe. Executive secretary SABAK Rev.Kiyeto Sumi and deputy Kilonser GPRN/NSCN Zutovi Swu would be the main speaker and guest of honour respectively.
RWDA meeting: Rotomi Welfare Dimapur Area (RWDA) has convened a general meeting on December 1 at the residence of its Banker at 10 am.
CSUTT against sale of gutkhas, expired goods: Chang Students’ Union Tuensang Town (CSUTT) has cautioned all business establishments, transport departments, and unions not to indulge in selling, hoarding, carrying of illegal items such as gutkhas, expired and unauthorized goods in and around Tuensang town. Defaulters would be penalized as per CSUTT resolution, the union added.
C3IHMD singing competition: C3 International Hostel Ministries Dimapur (C3IHMD) would be conducting its 1st annual singing competition on November 28 at 2pm Delta conference hall (4th floor Sikkim Manipal University Plaza police point).
UBCA, NEI annual conference: United Baptist Churches Association, North East India (UBCA, NEI) 2nd annual conference would be held on December 2 and 3 at UBC Balijan, near LRC Dimapur.
SHN general session: Sumi Hoho Nagaland (SHN) has convened an emergency general session (Baghi Hoho) on December 1 at 10am at town hall Zunheboto. All executive members, ex-officio members, frontal heads, ex-executive members, 2 GBS or more from every village, VCC, and public leaders have been requested to attend the session.
