New community hall at Amaluma village

A community hall constructed by FDA and sponsored by NAEB, ministry of forest and environment, government of India was inaugurated at Amaluma village under Dhansiripar sub-division on Saturday.
MLA and advisor, sericulture and co-operation Azheto Zhimomi, inaugurated the hall constructed at an estimated cost of almost ` 4 lakhs.
Addressing the gathering, Azheto expressed concern for development of village areas and highlighted the changes brought to Nagaland by DAN government in terms of development and advancement since 2003.
He said the government being concerned to bring about development and advancement had introduced communitization and thus gave full authority to the people to control funds and functioning of establishments.
Calling upon the people to support and co-operate with the government for more development, he pointed out the members of various committees should be responsible and sincere in fund utilization for development of the village.
He assured that with judicious utilization of funds, villages would be transformed into a well developed and advanced village. SDO (Civil) Dhansiripar congratulated the villagers, stating it was because of co-operation among the villagers, the project could be completed.
For development and advancement to come to villages, he said it was a must for parents to send their children to school and also urged villages to give importance to handicrafts and agriculture to create more employment opportunities especially for youth.
Also congratulating the villagers on the accomplishment, ACF, Dimapur division said the three aspects that impressed him in Nagaland were cultural diversity, natural resources and activeness of village organizations.
He was of the view that when such aspects came together, there would surely be development in the villages.
Vihoshe Awomi, chairman, ad-hoc town council, East Dimapur also delivered a short speech.
