Village Education Committee (VEC) Shoxuvi has requested the government of Nagaland and the department of education to declare the result of teachers’ verification at the earliest.
In order to implement the ‘Right To Education’ which envisages, free and compulsory education to all children below the age of 14, the VEC requested the concerned authority to create posts and make necessary appointment to the newly upgraded government middle school.
CRBC women department convention
DIMAPUR: A three day convention of the Council of Rengma Baptist Churches (CRBC), women department was held at K. Station, Tseminyu sub-division.
Altogether, more than thousand delegates from 34 Churches in the state attended the convention. The speakers for the convention were Lucy Tep, president CRBCWD, Rev. Tenga Seb, executive secretary, CRBC, Rev. Dr. Chen Rengma, Pastor, RBC, Kohima and Amen Khing, CRBC missionary to Himalayan Region. Workshops on ‘Causes and consequences of commercial sex workers’, ‘Healthy childhood safe motherhood’, ‘Christian women in market place’, etc., were also conducted.
