Liquor banned in Chumu ward-5: Chumukedima town ward no-5 council members, GB, youth and women departments have resolved to ban selling of alcohol within the jurisdiction of the ward from December 18 onwards. Informing this, GB Veshoi Naroh warned that serious action would be taken against anyone found selling alcohol of any kind in the ward.
30th SVCU general session: The 30th general sessions of Shamator Village Citizen Union (SVCU) would be held on January 18 and 19 at Shamator village. The session would be graced by Yimso, director Mission Possible Dimapur as the chief guest. Union president, S. Khuingmong has requested all bona fide citizen of Shamator village to attend the general session.
NVC census enrollment: Nerhema village population census enrollment will be conducted on December 28 during the general meeting of the Nerhema Village Council. All citizens of Nerhema have been asked to attend the meeting and enroll their names. The council has asked heads of families to attend the meeting. Failing to turn up and register their names would not be counted by the village in future, the council informed. A registration fee of Rs.5 would be collected per head.
ACWA general conference: The 19th general conference of the Angami Catholic Women Association (ACWA) would be held from January 14-16 at Cathedral Church Kohima on the theme “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness Mt.6:33”. Vikepelhu Lucas Meyase will be the main speaker while healing services will be conducted by Rev. Fr. Alex Vizo. Holy Mass will be held on Sunday at 10am with Rev. Fr. Neisalhou Carlus, Vicar general Kohima Diocese Nagaland as the main celebrant. All have been invited to join in the celebration.
ANCSU 3rd union assembly: The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has informed all executives, tribunals and colleges’ unit president and general secretaries affiliated to ANCSU that the 3rd Union Assembly has been scheduled on January 25, 11am.
ANCSU office timing: All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has informed that the office will remain closed from December 22- January 10. The union has further extended Christmas and New Year greetings to all the citizens.
NVSU 38th annual general session: The 38th annual general session of the Niroyo Village Students’ Union (NVSU) has been scheduled from December 29-30 at T.T. Memorial Hall. Assistant teacher, Chanchithung Ngullie, GMS Niryo would be the chief guest and Pastor Niroyo Baptist Church, Renathung Yanthan would be the main speaker on the topic “Self recognition for self development”. Further the union has informed all student members residing in the village/town to attend the session without fail as there will be an election for the tenure 2011-12.
