‘Jack Daniels Annual Rock Award’ for Abiogenisis
DIMAPUR: Abiogenisis has been nominated for the ‘Female Vocalist of the Year’ category at the Jack Daniels Annual Rock Awards 2010. The award ceremony would be held on January 20 at Hard Rock Cafe, Mumbai. It may be noted that the Jack Daniel’s Annual Rock Awards are the closest thing to Indian rock music Grammys.
IGAR (N) greets
DIMAPUR: Maj Gen Sandeep Singh, SM, VSM, IGAR (N) has extended season’s greeting to all the people of Nagaland. In his message, Maj Gen hoped Christ would bless the people of Nagaland with everlasting peace, development and brotherhood. He further extended New Year wishes to all tribes, Churches, NGOs and all government officials and believed God would bless the Naga people with “high spirit, joy and many more success in their life in the coming year”.
Christmas celebration at SFS Parish Kohima
DIMAPUR: Sumi Catholic Community under SFS Parish Kohima town celebrated Christmas at the residence of Avuli, Naga bazaar, Kohima. In this regard, the Catechist of Sumi community expressed gratitude to its member who generously contributed and tirelessly worked for the celebration during the short service. The Catechist further prayed for God’s blessing and extended Christmas and New Year greetings to all.
Ex-JNV students meet
DIMAPUR: A meeting of all the members of ex-JNV students batch of 1996, 1997and 1998 has been convened on December 29, at 2pm at rest house, Wokha town. All have been requested to attend the meeting positively.
Tsungiki Students’ Union golden jubilee from Dec 28
DIMAPUR: Tsungiki Students’ Union (TSU) would be commemorating its golden jubilee with the theme “Knowledge is victory” from December 28 - 30 at Tsungiki village with parliamentary secretary, Yanthungo Patton as the chief guest. Secretary and ex-officio director science and technology, Yanbemo Kikon; IPS, IGP (retd), N. N. Ngullie and DPO land resource development department Wokha, Vanjamo Ngullie would be the guests of honour on various commemorative sessions.
