Rotary club of Dimapur successfully implemented its project ‘Heart to heart’ (hole in heart) and gift of life (Hole in heart) in the Rotary year 2010-11 facilitating heart surgery to four poor and needy children, free of cost.
A 3 year old, Manisha Das, daughter of Mukul Das reached Dimapur after she successfully underwent heart surgery, under Rotary International District 3240 project, heart to heart (hole in heart) on December 2 at Mission Hospital, Durgapur, West Bengal.
She was received by Rotarians at Dimapur Railway Station.
Under the project ‘Gift of life’ (hole in heart), two more child have been operated successfully at Escorts Heart Institute, Delhi namely Ati and Doria in this month. Both are in good health staying at Delhi for post treatment.
Altogether, till date four children have been operated successfully this year under these two projects.
It may be mentioned that Rotary club of Dimapur also sent children to Escorts Heart Institute and National Heart Institute, Delhi under the project, ‘Gift of life’, which started in the year 2006-07.
Mukul Das, father of Manisha Das has expressed gratitude to Rotary Club of Dimapur and Durgapur and Rotary international District 3240 for great support and help rendered to his daughter.

The club also thanked all who helped in implementing the project.
