Ralanthung urges students to be sensible

Deputy speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Ralanthung Yanthan has called upon the students’ community to rededicate themselves in their search for knowledge and wisdom for a better tomorrow.
Addressing the golden jubilee celebration of Lotsü Village Students’ Union, LVSU, as the chief guest December 27 at Lotsü village under Wokha district, the deputy speaker exhorted the students to be responsible with the hard earned money provided by their parents in educating them. Raising concern over the increasing trend of buying costly branded clothes by students at the expense of their parents, he appealed the students to practice thriftiness.
Reminding the students that they were the future of tomorrow, Yanthan also appealed to parents to build a closer relationship with their children and be partners in their overall upbringing. Appreciating the DAN government under the leadership of chief minister Niephiu Rio for being instrumental in maintaining peace and harmony for almost a decade now under the slogan peace for development and development for peace, Ralanthung Yanthan said despite various constraints the state witnessed various tangible developmental activities.
He also called upon the constituency people to continue to extend their support and co-operation to DAN government to ensure steady progress and development of the constituency. Earlier, the deputy speaker declared the golden jubilee celebration open by unfurling the LVSU flag and also unveiled the jubilee monolith. The deputy Speaker later inaugurated Lotsü circle customary court and upgradation of Government middle school at Moilan. Deputy Speaker and his entourage, accompanied by Sanis SDO (Civil), Lotsü circle EAC, SDO (soil) Bhandari and Wokha district malaria officer, were accorded a warm reception by the people of Lotsü village.
