MKC affirms to uphold resolutions

Makhuma Khel Council (MKC) of Kigwema held its annual general meeting from Makhuma ground on December 28.
The members deliberated at length on various issues pertaining to the welfare of the Khel and the village in general. It also resolved to adhere and abide by prohibitions on all sorts of illegal activities laid down by the Makhuma Khel and Kigwema village council, within Makhuma Khel.
Various bodies like Makhuma youth organization, Makhuma students’ union presented annual activities.
Earlier, short speeches were delivered by Kovisie Yano and Rokovikho Chale, both the speakers emphasized on importance of prosperity through unity and also to preserve its rich cultural values for a congenial atmosphere. Zelole Chale, general secretary MKC gave a detailed report of council activities for the last 3 years and audit report by audit committee of various organization under MKC, election of new council members for the tenure 2011-2013 was held.
New office bearers were also elected with Thinozelhou Neihu as chairman,Yasale Chale- vicechairman, Zelole Chale-general secretary, Khriesaralie Kiso joint secretary, Lhekhele Yano and treasurer and Neitho-o Yano and Kuoliebeituo Neihu as VDB members and Khwenyii Neihu and Nezole Yano as village council member (VCM) and vote of thanks by Pu-o Yano which was followed by a grand feast.
Earlier, the programme started with an invocation prayer by Sizo Kiso, deacon CRC, special song by Shürhovizo Kiso and function was chaired by Khokhie Neihu, chairman Makhuma Khel council.
