Firm to start two-laning soon in state

Maytas Infra which just bagged `1130.7 crore road contract from the government of Nagaland Wednesday said the work on 2-laning of a long stretch in Nagaland would start in the next 2-3 months. Talking to ET Now on what the deal means for the company, the Maytas Infra MD Vimal Kaushik said: “Actually it is a 2-laning of a long stretch in Nagaland and the order has been given now, actual work will start in the next 2-3 months. So any revenue which has to be done or booked will be in the first and the second quarter.” Infrastructure firm Gayatri Projects in joint venture with Maytas Infra has won a `1,130.67 crore road project from Nagaland government. “The Gayatri Projects Ltd-Maytas Infra Ltd will have a share in the ratio of 50:50 respectively,” the Hyderabad-based company said. “The project entails the two-laning of existing single lane roads of approximately 329 kms in Nagaland,” it added. Under the project existing stretches in the state -- Longleng - Changtongya (32 km), Mon-Tamlu-Merangkong (105 kms), Phek- Pfutzero (74 kms) and Zunheboto-Chakabama (118 kms) would be upgraded to two-lanes.
