Funeral service of late Ongarony N. Mozhui
DIMAPUR: The funeral service of late Ongarony Ngully Mozhui will be held at the family residence at Phevima (Kacharigaon) on December 31 at 11 a.m.
Free Medical Camp at Kiyekhu village
DIMAPUR: The 21st Assam Rifles conducted free medical camp at Kiyekhu village on December 27 under the aegis of Assam Rifles HQ 7 sector. A medical team consisting of Dr. Peter, Dr. Kanato and eight medical staff conducted the camp. Altogether 260 patients were given free medical treatment and medicines. GBs and village council of Kiyekhu have further expressed gratitude to the 21st AR and medical team for their help.
TYC New Year eve get together

Kasho Daho general meet
DIMAPUR: The Kasho Daho has convened a general meeting on January 4, 2011 at Henbenji village at 10 am. All officers, public leaders, chairman, GBs and VDB secretaries of all the villages, executive members and all members of Kasho Daho have been requested to attend the meeting.
LAMHSS and Agape College seminar
DIMAPUR: Lima Aier Memorial Higher Secondary School (LAHSS) and Agape College Dimapur would jointly organize ‘Fearless Believer’ seminar and crusade from January 2-4, 2011 at LAHSS premises, Lengrijan and from January 5-6 at Agape College, Padumpukhuri. Rev. Dr .David Schroeder and Rev. Dr. Louis Ao, from USA would be the main speakers of the programme while praise and worship would be led by team from Somerset Christian College USA. Churches and youth organizations have been informed to submit the registration forms on January 2 at LAHSS and at Agape College on January 3.
Dept of fisheries condoles
DIMAPUR: Department of fisheries Nagaland has mourned the demise of Neikezotuo, fishery inspector who passed away on December 30. Department, in a condolence message issued by its additional director Zenohol Angami, stated that late Neikezotuo who was posted under Phek district had been a dedicated and sincere officer. Department staff further conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members.
AKM executive meeting
DIMAPUR: In view of its forthcoming general conference, Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) has convened joint meeting of executives and senior executives on January 3, 2011 at its office conference hall at 10 am. Meanwhile, AKM has also reminded all the range students’ union units under AKM to submit three flags on or before January 3, 2011.
MCCI bans sale of lottery tickets, calendars
DIMAPUR: Mokokchung chamber of Commerce and Industries (MCCI) has issued an order restricting sale of lottery ticket, calendar, raffle etc to shop owners with immediate effect. According to an official bulletin, MCCI resolved to issue the order following the observation that some individuals and groups were indulging in such “unauthorized business” every year. The chamber further appealed to the public to report any such unauthorized selling.
FTC Bible quest
DIMAPUR: Open written Bible quest exam on the book of Numbers chapters 1 to 36 (Old Testament) and Gospel of John chapters 1 to 21 (New Testament) would be conducted on August 28, 2011. KSU conference cum sports event held
DIMAPUR: Khar Students’ Union (KSU) held its conference cum sports at Khar village under Mokokchung district on December 21 and 22. The programme was graced by Sericulture director J. Wati Walling. Gauhati High Court Kohima Bench senior advocate C. Tali Jamir and 11th IRB Chumukedima commandant Imcharenla were the resource persons at the conference while the sports meet was graced by joint transport commissioner S. Teka Jamir.
IIM Dimapur senate fetes
DIMAPUR: The senate of Indian Institute of Missiology, North East (IIM, NE) Dimapur has congratulated Nunumi Baptist Church pastor Rev. Vitoho D.Jimomi on being conferred ‘Man of peace’ award by the Sumi Baptist Churches Association (SBAK) Nito Mount during its annual session on December 10. The institute also acknowledged SBAK executive secretary Rev. Yevito Sumi, council chairman Vihoshe Muru and others for presenting the award to Rev. Vihoto.
TTYO condemns Dec 27 incident
KOHIMA: Tsiepfu Tsiepfhe Youth Organization (TTYO) has condemned the December 27 incident where a woman, who is a permanent resident of AG colony was shot by a stray bullet at Takklu ground, Lerie colony Kohima.
