The 51st general session of Zhavame Students Union (ZSU) was held on Thursday at Pame Tsudu with Norman Putsure, secretary for urban development and team leader Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency as chief guest and Lecho Krocha, deputy director of school education (Retd.) as guest of honour.
Expressing his admiration for Zhavame village, the chief guest stated it was the “most beautiful village” he had visited in Nagaland. He was appreciative of Zhavame students who excelled in various fields and stated that students had the potential to go further in life.
Further noting that Chakhesang area was lacking IAS officers, he challenged students to also venture into this area. The chief guest also unfurled the union’s flag.
Guest of honour, Lecho Krocha exhorted students to give their best and said that youth is the prime of one’s life where they are able to do anything. He urged them to have dedication and self respect in order to achieve their goals, while also emphasizing on the need to discover ambitions and setting out to achieve them.
Earlier, the presidential address was delivered by Mosonyi Movi and Rekha Dukru gave general secretary report. Meritorious Certificates were also awarded to students. Kunungoyi, in-charge Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency, Phek district also attended the programme.
