All Nagaland Pre-Service Teachers Association (ANPSTA) Phek Unit has appealed the authorities to implement the recruitment rules in “toto” as directed by the government with regard to the recent government advertisement for filling up of 36 posts of Primary Teacher under Phek district. This was included in the association’s 3-point charter of demands. ANSPTA Phek unit office bearers said that it had received information that the department has been entertaining the Forms of undergoing B.Ed along with ECCE. However, it said as per the directive issued by the government to fill up the following posts of P.T., the existing recruitment rules for the post of P.T. were to bring them in conformity with the qualification prescribed by the government on December 15, 2010. ANSPTA Phek also said that the ECCE dealt only with Montessori and ISTE. “It is apart from PSTE course,” it said and added that the application should be revoked immediately.
Further, the Association said that the B.Ed candidates with or without certificate should not be entertained as per the eligibility criteria given and that the number of vacancies under Phek district has been “sanctioned nil” for the post of G.T. The ANSPTA Phek urged the authorities to meet its charter of demands immediately and said that it would be compelled to seek justice and initiate agitation until and unless the concerned authorities notified fulfilling its demands. The Association said it would not be held responsible for any untoward incident that might arise in the course of seeking justice.
