NIA to investigate case against R.K. Meghen

A four-member team of NIA (National Investigation Agency) led by SP Ashim Shrivastav arrived here Monday to investigate into a case against UNLF chairman, RK Meghen.
Earlier the NIA had registered a case against RK Meghen under IPC 121, 121(a), 120(b), 123 and also under sections 13, 18, 16, 39 and 40 under unlawful Activities (prevention) act on December 3 in an special court in Guwahati.
Meghen was charged for waging war against Indian union in which he denied the case while being produced in the NIA special court on December 26.
Meghen also denied charges of him being Bihar’s Motihari on November 30 and said that he was abducted from Dhaka on September 29 by a joint team of RAW and its counterpart Bangladesh intelligence agency.
Meghen aka Sanayaima was produced in the NIA court presided by judge AK Das on December 30 last for the third time and taken remand into judicial custody for another 14 days.
Official sources said that the NIA had come to investigate into agency’s FIR case 10/2010 in which Meghen was booked.

The team will stay in the capital for about two weeks and investigate with the cases registered Meghen and the outfit led by him, UNLF.
