The 19th annual session of Pishikhu Village Students’ Union (PVSU) was held on December 28 and 29 at Pishikhu village.
The session started in an impressive traditional ceremony, with “angu kupusu” (jumping and kicking at an object placed at the tip of the spear) followed by fashion show and “lejo le” (traditional song of praise) after the chief guest Khekivi Wotsa, general secretary, Consumer Society Dimapur District unfurled the union flag.
In his speech, the chief guest encouraged students to be sincere and disciplined in their studies and to be persistent in achieving their goals.
On the second day of the session, the main speaker was Vikato Swu.
Based on the theme of the session “Quality education the need of the hour,” Swu pointed out that in today’s ‘survival of the fittest’ world, qualification without proper and real knowledge and education was worthless.
He encouraged students to sacrifice all unwanted activities and devote more time on studies.
