EuroKids: Beyond pre-school education

EuroKids International, India’s largest pre-school chain with more than 550 pre-schools set its maiden entry into Nagaland by starting its operation on Friday at Super market, Dimapur.
EuroKids International Ltd which started with two pilot pre-schools in Mumbai in June 2001 has become India’s number one pre- school chain in the country.
In northeast, EuroKids International was started in 2003 and today, it has 30 operational schools and around 1200 students.
EuroKids at Dimapur was inaugurated by Deputy commissioner, Dimapur, Maongwati Aier at a simple yet impressive function held at its premises at Super Market.
Terming the occasion as a great day, Maongwati said such venture making its presence in the state was made possible due to transparency and peace in the society.
“When there is no fear and transparency in the society, then the uplift of education system in the city is possible”, said Maongwati.
Lamenting that the state has been lacking behind in educational system for the last decade, the deputy commissioner maintained it was time the state concentrates on human resource development.
Academic co-originator EuroKids, Guwahati, Moitree in her brief introduction said the school was different for its uniqueness, well delved into with integrated and age appropriate curriculum.
The school recognizes the uniqueness of each child with an individual personality, learning style and family background besides individual pattern.
The school maintains the philosophy “learning by doing” keeping in mind the child needs to touch, explore, learn and enjoy, Moitree said.
For this, equipments and toys have been carefully selected for their age appropriateness and are non-toxic and child safe.
Earlier, in-charge of EuroKids, Snigdha Dhindsa a post graduate in political science from Poona University in her welcome address said Euorkids was a perfect platform for children to flourish.
Dhindsa who has a teaching experience of over 25 years reminded the gathering that the school aims to prepare the children for their next step in their education with a desire for learning.
