Stating that the recent move of ENPO for separate “Frontier Nagaland” would crush the desire and aspiration of the younger generation to live together as one Naga family, the Sumi Ao Rengma Kyong – Students’ Co-ordination (SARK- SC) has appealed the ENPO to reconsider decision for the sake of the future younger Naga generation. SARK – SC said it would strive for a united and vibrant Naga society through reconciliation. The four Students’ Co-ordination said it was “saddened” to learn about the resolution of the ENPO for separate statehood. It said at a time when the Naga society was under taking a Journey of Common hope for ‘Reconciliation,’ the decision of the ENPO to break away from the main land Nagaland was “quite shocking and a big setback” to the Nagas’ long cherished dream to live under one administrative umbrella. Acknowledging that there must be genuine reasons for the ENPO to take such extreme decision, yet, the SARK – SC said there was always a possibility of thrashing out differences over negotiating tables. The SARK - SC appeal was jointly issued by the convener Abeto L. Shohe, co-convener Kenneth Kath, secretary Bendang Aier and joint secretary Yiben Humtsoe.
