Star Mart a departmental store located at Jail Colony, Kohima was inaugurated on Monday with state chief minister Neiphiu Rio as the chief guest.
Star Mart (Department Store) is a mother project of Tribal Touch Organization with modern facilities and interiors for consumers to get experience of shopping in a metro.
At Star Mart, the store would provide all fast moving consumer products under one roof from local vegetables to processed meat, basic toiletries to dairy products to fruits and even bakery products.
In his address state chief minister Neiphiu Rio congratulated the young entrepreneurs for starting the Star Mart and also thanked those behind the entrepreneurs in accomplishing their dream.
He also expressed hope that Star Mart would be able to grow bigger and expand its branches in various parts of the state.
Rio expressed hope that Nagaland would turn from consuming society to a producing society with responsible citizens and committed young entrepreneurs. Emphasizing on upholding confidence of customers, Rio reminded them to built trust with the customers.
“If you build the trust you will be able to start outlets at several other locations” he added.
Stating that business means taking risk with initiatives, Rio reminded Naga youth to be careful in transactions.
“You have to know how much you are earning and spending by getting proper accounts”, he maintained.
Earlier, invocation prayer was delivered by Rev Mhathung Lotha, Pastor Kohima Lotha Baptist Church and welcome address by Among Anjo.
