: Specular North East (SNE) Tuensang unit has alleged that a subordinate of SNE, identified as one Imnasunep Ao of Molungyimsen village has fled with all the deposited money to the tune of Rs.1, 12, 677 meant for the unit.
This comes at a time when SNE managing director R.K Nath a.k.a Shambu Das has been charged with embezzlement of about Rs. 80 lakh. Reportedly, the SNE managing director was liable to pay about Rs. 80 lakh to 250 employees and 7000-8000 depositors.
The Tuensang unit of NSE has asked Imnasunep to make reference to his affidavit agreement wherever he was, while questioning where was he hiding with all their hard earned money.
Pointing out that they would not hesitate to take own course of action if the accused Sunep failed to withdraw their deposited money before December 20, the SNE Tuensang unit said he would be held solely responsible after the expiry of the stipulated time.
According to SNE Tuensang unit assistant executive officer, the accused earlier visited Tuensang on a mission to expand the SNE branch in Tuensang and appointed many AEOs and enrolled many customers. Then they were directed to deposit money in the form of banking while promising to offer loans after the maturity of the deposited money.
The Tuensang unit said despite their best effort for expansion of SNE and after depositing money as per direction, their hopes and dreams never were realized as the accused fled to Mokokchung with all their deposited money.
