State Level Bankers Committee meeting: All State Level Bankers Committee members have been notified that the meeting scheduled for 2.30pm has been re-scheduled to11am at Chumukedima, NAP Complex (Conference Hall) instead of Kohima, Japfü Hotel.
Free coaching class for NIFT entrance examination: National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Shillong would be organizing free coaching classes for students of Class XI, XII and graduates for preparation of NIFT entrance examination from January 3 – 8 at NIFT Shillong Centre, old NEIGRIHMS campus, Lawmali Polo from 11am to 3pm. According to an official bulletin, food and lodging would be provided free of cost and stipend paid to the participants. Students willing to attend the coaching classes have been informed to contact director NIFT or contact Tel. 0364-2590240, 2590256, 2590676, fax – 0364-2590676 on or before December 15.
KSU platinum jubilee: Kalinamai Students’ Union (KSU) would be celebrating its platinum jubilee on December 17 and 18 at Lishe-e, UJB school compound. Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) president Mutsikhoyo Yhobu would grace the occasion as chief guest and Lokho Kapani Krichena, tribunal, Naga Students Federation and Lokho Ozho, president Mao Students’ Union as guests of honour. Dr. L. Puni, IFS, Chief Conservator of Forest, Dehradun, Uttarkhand, N. Lokho Mao, IRC, Retd commissioner, IT and Dr. H. Loli, Mao, DACO/MS will be the resource persons.
Jakhama sub-division to celebrate pre- Christmas: The officers under Jakhama Sub-division would be celebrating pre-Christmas on December 16 at the SDO (C) Office chamber at 12 noon.
PDVCU advance Christmas: Peren District Village Chairman Union (PDVCU) will be organizing picnic- cum-advance Christmas on December 17 at the newly constructed Mungleu Bridge. All village chairmen under Peren district have been requested to participate in the celebration.
ESU executive meeting: Elumyo Students’ Union (ESU) has convened an executive meeting on December 16, 4pm at the residence of its president at Wokha.
ARSU executive meeting: Akuluto Range Students’ Union (ARSU) has convened its executive meeting on December 18, 10am at ARSU office Akuluto. All unit presidents have been requested to attend the meeting. Meanwhile, ARSU has convened a presidential meeting on December 20, 10am at ARSU office Akuluto.
DCC Tuensang office closure : Office of District Congress Committee Tuensang would remain closed from December 20 to January 9, 2011 on account of Christmas and New Year celebration. DCC Tuensang president N. Mosha Chang requested all district frontal office bearers of DYC, DMC, Seva Dal and NSUI to attend office on December 17 and from January 10 onwards.
Island colony silver jubilee: Dimapur Island colony would be celebrating silver jubilee on the theme ‘Towards a common goal’ on December 16, 1pm. NPCC president SI Jamir would grace the programme as chief guest.
Plea to Wokha authorities and citizens
DIMAPUR: Former NRSU president and leacy member in-charge 37/A/C GPRN/NSCN, N.M Ngullie has appealed the general public of Nyiro range under Wokha district to organize mass social work from Wokha town to N. Longidang village PWD road and also the higher authority to look into the matter for the benefit of people.
He also requested Wokha district hospital staff to conduct medical mela in the village and to ban hunting and fishing within the jurisdiction.
UT NSCN/GPRN arrest 1
DIMAPUR: Acting on a tip off from the intelligence source, Union Authority (UT)-I NSCN/GPRN Chumukedima Area staff arrested one Neipi Angami for possessing more than 100 kgs of contraband ganja on December 4 from Tenyiphe-I village under Chumukedima.
According to deputy “kilonser” (Home)-cum- caretaker UT-I, NSCN/GPRN, Kihoto Yepthomi, the seized items were destroyed in the presence of colony elders of Burma camp and the accused later released on humanitarian ground after being cautioned. Further, authorities of Union Territory-I has cautioned that as per its standing “Azha” anyone found indulging in illegal business would be dealt with according to its Yezabo.
