Relief for Xuvihe fire victims

In an effort to help the affected families of Monday’s inferno at Xuvihe, Dimapur district administration led by Deputy Commissioner, Maongwati Aier accompanied by Anup Khinchi SDO (C) Dhansiripar, Langonsen Tsanglao EAC Hq and development along with some DBs distributed relief materials such as blankets, utensils and cash amount of `1000 each to the affected family members.
The inferno destroyed more than ten houses affecting 48 families.
Maongwati addressing the affected families at the site on Tuesday said the relief was being provided before the arrival of aid from the home ministry.
He also cautioned the affected families to be mindful while using fire especially around this festive season.
Maongwati further asked the affected family members to collect the cash amount from EAC Hq & Development on Wednesday by 11am from DC’s office.
Meanwhile, Xuvihe colony has expressed their appreciation to Er. Vikholie Nienu advisor DMC for contributing `10,000, Sema tilla prayer fellowship `3000, Sarada Sangha Westyard colony `1000, Bharat Sevashram Sangha for providing free meals, Living Wood Society for providing a sack of rice, clothes, and Radha Govinda Mandir for donating blankets and mosquito nets.
