Meeting on e-roll in Mon: Meeting of electoral roll observers with the election officials and representative of political parties has been convened on December 17, 2pm at DC’s Conference hall, Mon. ADC and Electoral Registration Officer Mon, Sarah R. Ritse has informed all assistant electoral registration officer, supervisor and political parties to attend the meeting. Political parties are requested to send at least two representative to attend the meeting.
ADC Phek informs: In view of ‘National Voters Day’ on January 25, additional deputy commissioner and electoral registration officer Phek, Z. Nyusietho Nyuthe has directed all to undertake a baseline study of the knowledge, attitude and practices of voters in grass root level. All BLO’s have been informed to obtain views of voters at least 2 persons from each polling station area and furnish the required information in the format on or before December 20.
JBCEM silver anniversary: Japfuphiki Baptist Child Evangelism (JBCEM) will be commemorating its silver anniversary-cum- 8th convention from December 17 to 19 at Kezoma Baptist Church on the theme “Let Everything that has breath, Praise the Lord” (Psalms 145:10)
ASUD 9th excellency award: Ao Students’ Union Dimapur (ASUD) would hold its 9th Excellency Award cum 40th general meeting on December 16, 10am at the residence of its treasurer at Notun Basti. All village units and sub-units affiliated to ASUD have been requested to send five delegates with Ao traditional attire to attend the meeting.
GEUOTV annual meeting: Government Employees Union, Old Tssori Village (GEUOTV) has convened its annual meeting on December 16, 9am at the residence of Nonghothung Yanthan, near ISBT (New NST Bus Station Dimapur).
Aloha mental arithmetic parents’ day: Aloha mental arithmetic parents’ day 2010 would be held on December 16, 10am at Red Cross conference hall with Kevileno Angami OSD and director department of evaluation as the special guest.
LVSU 48th annual session: Longsachung Village Students’ Union (LVSU) has convened its 48th annual session from December 28-29 at village community hall under the theme ‘Restructuring together’. Thungchio Ezung, Revenue JE (Electrical) would be the main speaker. Nthungo Ezung, Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Society (ARCAS) would be the chief guest.
PSU general session: The 48th general session of Pholami Students’ Union (PSU) would be held on December 28 and 29 at Pholami village under the theme “Education for unity.” T. T. Angami, joint director (Rtd), SCERT, Nagaland would grace the occasion as chief guest.
SASU general session: Seyochung Area Students Union (SASU) would be organising its 16th annual general session from January 3-5 with C. Kipili Sangtam MLA and chairman NSMDC as chief guest and finance secretary Selichum Sangtam as cultural chief guest.
STSU annual session: Suruhuto Town Students’ Union (STSU) 38th annual session would be held from December 26 to 30 at Suruhuto town under the theme “Educate to transcend”. The occasion would be graced by UDA, GHS VK town Kavito Jakhalu.
AASU annual session: Ato Area Students’ Union (AASU) would celebrate its 22nd annual session at S. Hetoi village from December 28 to 30 on the theme “Students’ role on social reformation and self reliance”. MLA, K. Hollohon would be the chief guest. Sessional chief guest would be director census operation, home affairs Hekali V. Zhimomi, inspector food and civil supplies as guest of honour, and MIP secretary GPRN/NSCN Ghukiho T. Jimomi as speaker.
CSUG elects new team: Chakhesang Students Union Guwahati (CSUG) elected its new office bearers on December 5 with Eyiewe Sekhamo as president, Zapove Neinu as vice president, Khroweu Kapfo as general secretary among 6 other office bearers, 2 NSUG representatives, and 2 advisors.
Lizumi union get-together: Annual gathering of Lizumi Union Dimapur and Lizumi Students union Dimapur would be held on December 18, 8:30am at the residence of its banker, Vishito Zhimo, Thilixu Block II. Lizumi union chairman informed that annual household fees of Rs.200 would also be collected.
TSU annual session: Terogvünyu Students’ Union (TSU) Tseminyu sub-division would be celebrating its 43rd annual session on December 28 and 29 at Terogvünyu Baptist Church. The occasion would be graced by SDO (PWD) education division, Er. Chengato Kath as chief guest while session speaker would be senior teacher Nophato Tep.
PVSU general conference: Pongidong Village Students’ Union (PVSU) would hold its 53rd general conference on December 29 and 30 at village community hall under the theme “New venture and self-reliance”. The occasion would be graced by district soil and water conservation officer Tuensang, James Ezung as chief guest. All class III and above students, former office bearers, senior leaders have been requested to attend the event.
ADC Dimapur meeting: Additional deputy commissioner (ADC) Dimapur has convened a meeting for all heads of department/offices on December 20 at 11am in the conference hall of DC, Dimapur.
KSU 53rd general session cum seminar: Khezhakeno Students’ Union (KSU) has convened its 53rd general session cum seminar on December 28 at Zhipfe Taza-o, Khezhakeno on the theme ‘Set your goal’ with Er. Khrotso Koza (SDO) Irrigation & FCD, Phek as the chief guest.
ESU 52nd annual session: Elumyo Students’ Union (ESU) Wokha district has convened its 52nd annual session on December 27 and 28. Y S Ovung, joint director, economics and statistics would be the chief guest.
VRCK pre–Christmas: Vision Riders Club Kohima (VRCK) would be celebrating pre-Christmas carol with Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home (KODH) at old NST junction on December 18 at 4.30pm. The main highlights of the carol would presentation of Christmas songs by children of KODH. Free will offering during the show would be collected to and donated to the Orphanage. The Vision Riders appealed to all well wishers and citizen of Kohima to support and witness the pre-Christmas carol.
Ban on hunting and fishing: Elumyo Students’ Union (ESU) has resolved to ban fishing and hunting for outsiders within its jurisdiction with immediate effect. The union has warned those found violating the order would be doing at their own risk and would be penalized. The ban has been called in order to preserve wildlife and ecology and to maintain peaceful environment. The ESU further cautioned all to strictly adhere to the order.
ANAATA Zbto meeting: All Nagaland Aggrieved Adhoc Teachers’ Association has convened a meeting on December 18 at SKK conference hall Zunheboto at 9: 30 am. All adhoc teachers who received pending arrears have been directed to attend the meeting. ANAATA Zunheboto said the unit would decide over the case of those not attending the meeting.
New WTABC building inauguration: The newly constructed Church building of Wokha Town Ao Baptist Church (WTABC) would be dedicated on December 17, 10am. All well wishers, donors, prayer partners have been requested to come and partake in the programme.
Plea to post more pharmacists at Pungro
DIMAPUR: Drawing attention of department of health and family welfare, for not posting pharmacists at Pungro sub-centre under Longleng, the ex-ACM Longleng Town has called for immediate action from the department in charge to post pharmacists at the sub centre.
The ex-ACM, C. Thanglau Angh in a complain letter addressed to principal director, health and family welfare pointed out that public of Pungro village has been suffering a lot as the sub-centre was without pharmacists for the past six years, since 2005. Taking this into account, the ex-ACM has called for immediate action from the higher authority.
State transport authority board constituted
DIMAPUR: The state government has reconstituted State Transportation Authority Board with its headquater at Kohima for a period of three years. The Board members includee- Secretary Transport as chairman, IGP Hq and three chief engineers R&B-member, transport commissioner as member secretary and joint transport commissioner as assistant member secretary.
State chief secretary Lalthara in a notification stated state transport authority board would continue to function until a new board was reconstituted.
