The NE Agri Expo which made a comeback Wednesday at NER Agri Expo Centre Dimapur with its 2nd edition after a gap of four years seem to have started of on a positive note despite speculation from various quarters on the state government’s spending of funds on the site. Farmers, urban visitors and entrepreneurs were among the crowd that thronged the pavilions and stalls at the site on the second day of the five-day long event.
Besides showcasing a blend of various agriculture and horticulture related products found in various parts of the northeast region, particularly in Nagaland, many young entrepreneurs could be seen exhibiting new and innovative undertakings. One of such ventures put on display at the site is Malerisch, a pioneer in the northeast India aspiring to set international standards of landscape engineering solutions in the region. Associated with ZTC International Landscape Solutions (P) Ltd., Malerisch, founded by two young Naga entrepreneurs Bendangyanger and Daochier Imchen in 2009, is also working as the state government’s official consultant for P. Shilu Ao Memorial Park Mokokchung. At the NE Agri Expo, Malerisch is exhibiting various landscaping technologies including Vertical Gardens, commonly called Green Walls, pond filtration system, fountain technology and lake management, and demonstrations of the same are being displayed at its exhibition slot.
