NSCN-IM clarifies on hijacking

The NSCN-IM has clarified on the new report “Case against NSCN” appeared in local dallies on December 17 that the NSCN-IM has no hand in the hijacking of FCI rice on NH 53.
The press statement issued by MIP/GPRN further stated that it was handiwork of some group with vested interest using NSCN-IM name to cover up crimes and said that the law enforcing agencies should go all out in tracking down the real culprits. The NSCN-IM further stated that forming a revolutionary group by certain persons with vested interests has been witnessed in Manipur.
Stating that Manipur Naga Revolutionary Front (MNRF) is one such group that has come into existence a couple of years ago yet had fallen like a house on cards.
MNRF chairman Phanitphang, vice chairman, who joined the NSCN-IM has reveal about the mess in the absence of any political program other than going the way of a mercenary gang, MIP stated.
