Zhadima Students’ Union golden jubilee

A two-day golden jubilee celebration of Zhadima Students’ Union (ZSU) started on Saturday at Zhadima village on the theme “Education Sustainability.”
Gracing the Zhadima Students’ Union (ZSU) golden jubilee as chief guest, PHED secretary Zhalie-o Rio, IAS called upon the students organizations to be more practical and realistic in their approach and have sense of reasoning, adding the student’s bodies are the backbone of society.
The secretary also felt that student’s bodies should have positive approach and give constructive suggestions to the government and also work hand in hand with government for all round development.
He also expressed regret that at times student bodies become rebellious organization and try to oppose every move of the government.
The secretary also called upon student organization to organize more career guidance seminars for students so they are led in the right direction.
He called upon students to develop the attitude of competitiveness and also to keep oneself updated in this fast changing global scenario.
Earlier, he unveiled the golden jubilee monolith. The jubilee blessing was pronounced by Rev. Dr. T.R. Angami.
In his greetings message Angami Students’ Union ASU President Voto Neikha congratulated ZSU on attaining 50 years.
He also announced that 24th ASU general conference would be held at Sovima village in April next year. Earlier the function was chaired by Kedilenuo, invocation prayer was pronounced by Rev. Vivolie Khoubve, a brief history ZSU was given by Rev. Diehalie Soliezuo, Prelude to the jubilee by Neilalhoulie Soliezuo, convenor Souvenir committee welcome address by Ravolelhou Theiinuo, Convenor Organizing committee, presidential address was delivered by Vitseizolie Sorünuo, president ZSU while K.T. Vilie, chairman, Zhadima Village Council also exhorted the gathering.
Devotional service on Sunday would start at 10 am. Rev. Dr. Visielie Soliezou, Principal Faith Theological Seminary Kohima would speak on “Education Sustainability –Spiritual Precept” and at 3 pm valedictory function would be held with Neiyalie Angami, Rtd assistant director youth resources and sports as the guest of honour and followed by “ZSU extravaganza nite”.
