DDK to telecast play on consumer’s grievances
KOHIMA: DDK Kohima would telecast a short play demonstrating on consumer’s grievances and its remedies in observances of National consumer day on December 24 at 7.30pm. The short play containing 25 minutes is directed by Kezhokhotuo Savi, President NVCO in collaboration with department of legal metrology and consumer protection, participated by a team of NVCO, students of Kohima Law College and children.
Renewal of advertisement permit
DIMAPUR: Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has informed all advertising agencies displaying hoardings/ kiosks/retailer boards etc under DMC jurisdiction to renew their advertisement permit on or before December 31. Failing to comply with this directive action shall be initiated by imposing penalty as per the Nagaland Municipal Act 2001, DMC notified.
Recruitment of teachers for B.Ed, PSTE only
DIMAPUR: Directorate of school education has informed that recruitment for the post of government teacher and private teacher was exclusively for the candidate possessing B.Ed and PSTE certificate holders only. Additional director (HoD) N. Khevito Sema has directed all DEO and DIS not to issue application forms to any candidate without the requisite education qualification.
Kohima DPDB meeting
DIMAPUR: The Kohima DPDB meeting would be held on January 14 at Pulie Badze. All members have been informed to attend the meeting and be prepared to walk for 10 km from base camp to the peak for the meeting. Meanwhile, DC Kohima has extended best wishes to all members and wished them a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
DNSU office closure
DIMAPUR: Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) informed that its office would remain close from December 21 till January 5. The union has also extended Christmas and prosperous New Year greetings to all section of the society.
SVSU 47th session
DIMAPUR: The 47th session of Shamator Village Students’ Union (SVSU) will be held from January 5-7, 2011. All students have been are requested to attend the session.
TC Mokokchung to celebrate Christmas
DIMAPUR: The Tenyimi Churches (TC) Mokokchung has extended invitation to people of Tenyimi residing in and around Mokokchung to join in to celebrate combined Christmas program on December 25, 10:30 am at Tenyimi Church and on January 1, 2011 at 10:30 am at Chakhesang Church.

DIMAPUR: Dimapur Nokpu Senso Telongjem, Dimapur Nokpu Students Union and Dimapur Nokpu Tamang Telongjem have congratulated Meren Imchen, son of Lanutoshi Imchen of Nokpu Village on winning Mr. Nagaland, 2010. 49th ZVYSO meet at Zhadima
KOHIMA: The five -day 49th session of Zhadima Village Youth and Sports Organization (ZVYSO) annual sports meet 2010-2011 would be held from December 27 to 31 at Local ground, Zhadima. The chief guest and guest of honour for the meet would be P. Atuo Mezhur, President Nagaland Football Association and President Nagaland Table Tennis Association and Dr. Neiphrezo Keditsu, entrepreneur respectively.
LVSU 45th general conference
DIMAPUR: The 45th general conference of Longla Village Students Union (LVSU) would be held on December 28 and 29 at GPS Longla compound on the theme ‘Students are the assets of the nation’ with village council chairman Thungbemo Kikon as chief guest and NSF education committee member and president youth association of Wokha district as guest of honour. Meanwhile, Yikhum Students Union, Longla Students Union, Longtsung Students Union and Sanis Students union has expressed gratitude to NSF education committee member Mhonbemo N Ngullie for sponsoring the cost of the programme for general session.
GPRN/NSCN recovers Tata indigo vehicle
DIMAPUR: The Crime Control Cell (CCC), GPRN/NSCN, has recovered a silver colored Tata Indigo vehicle bearing Engine No. 4751DT12DUZP58359 and Chassis No.601144DUZP58146. The CCC Secretary Z Lhokuto Chishi has informed the rightful owner to furnish relevant document and claim the recovered vehicle within the period of seven (7) days from the date of issue of this information, failing which the said vehicle would be confiscated. Senjum village NPF youth wing new team
DIMAPUR: Senjum village NPF youth wing Dimapur-11 A/C has elected new office bearers with Thungtsomo Y Lotha as president, Chumtamo Kithan as general secretary, Benathung Humtsoe as vice president, Ricky as secretary, Jamithung, Rhanpen as information and publicity secretary, M Chenithung Ezung as advisor cum treasurer.
LSU 44th session held
KOHIMA: Litsami Students’ Union (LSU) held its 44th annual conference on the theme ‘Towards the secured future’ with superintendent of directorate of land resources, Botovi K. Chishi as the chief guest from December 17 to 19 at Litsami village ground under Atoizu Sub-division, Zunheboto district. Exhorting the students, Botovi urged them to uphold dignity of labour and called upon them to gain knowledge and wisdom to evolve a developed and secure future. He also challenged them to work towards bringing about change in the society.
PCC class of 2004 re-union programme
DIMAPUR: The re-union program for Class of 2004, Patkai Christian College (Autonomous) was held on December 18 under the theme “Go the distance” at Bundrock Chapel, Patkai Christian College (PCC). The program was chaired by Imliakum, program assistant, KVK, Dimapur, ICAR, welcome note by Heroto Chishi, advocate and a glimpse of 2004 batch by Yanger Sanglir. Kevezai, assistant Prof, FAC shared on his life after Patkai and Candid Sareo, PRO, PCC exhorted the gathering to live a life driven by God’s purpose. Alobo Naga and Huthuka Sumi presented special songs. Wojanbeni S. Yanthan, assistant, Prof. PCC proposed vote of thanks. The Class of 2004 contributed a sum of Rs.10000 towards the construction of Margaret Shishak School of Music.

DIMAPUR: Union Territory-1 GPRN NSCN has informed that one auto three wheeler black colour was in the custody of union territory-1 office GPRN/NSCN Khehoi designate camp, bearing registration No. NL-07 1047, Engine No AEMBLD 32709 and Chasses No 24FBL029437. Rightful owner has to claim the same by producing the original documents and driving license within seven days.
Chumu weekly bazaar on Wednesday
DIMAPUR: On account of next Saturday being Christmas Day, the Chumukedima weekly bazaar held every Saturday, has been fixed to December 22. This was informed by chairman, Chumukedima weekly bazaar management committee K Shuya.
