ERSU general conference

The 23rd general conference of Englan Range Students’ Union (ERSU) was held on January 7 at New Changsu community hall. The conference held on the theme “Building a sustainable society” was graced by parliamentary secretary geology and mining, irrigation and flood control and border affairs Y. Patton as the chief guest.
The chief guest, while urging the students to produce quality education, assured to award those who excel in academics a reward of Rs.1,50,000 to UPSC successful candidates (IAS,IFS,IPS & IES), Rs.1,00000 for NPSC (EAC & DSP), and Rs.50,000 to HSLC topper during his leadership.
The chief guest further donated Rs.80,000 to ERSU, Rs.10,000 each to 5 federating units of ERSU, Rs.5000 each to the 2 Churches, Rs.5000 each to Englan range students (Wokha and Doyang), Rs.5000 to New Changsu village council, Rs.1000 each to 6 elders, Rs.1000 each to pastors of NCBC and NCTC New Changsu.
The union has meanwhile extended gratitude to all village councils, pastors, GBs, federating units, members, and well-wishers, lecturer Renthungo Patton, and public of New Changsu for their support and cooperation during the conference.
