Edn qualification relaxed for teachers recruitment

State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Nagaland has relaxed the qualification criteria for recruitment of graduate and primary teachers for Mon, Tuensang, Kiphire, Longleng, Peren and Meluri sub-division. SCERT director, Vipralhou Kestezie in a letter to the commissioner and secretary department of school education and SCERT notified about the relaxed qualifications for the candidates as follows: For graduate teacher for secondary school, the qualification should be graduate with B.Ed or minimum graduate with 45 % while for primary school teacher, the qualification should be 10 +2 with PSTE or 10 +2 with 6 months CPTE/ECCE/ELT or minimum 10 +2 with 45 % or graduate with 45 %. Further, the examination fee earlier fixed at Rs 300 per candidate has been enhanced to Rs 500 stating that the amount was not at all sufficient to conduct examinations. It was informed that verification of documents and issue of admit cards would be done at the respective distirict by the SCERT/DIET officials. Confidential papers (in sealed packets) would be issued on February 1 at SCERT to be collected by the respective DEOs/DIS, it was informed.
