The three-day Revival Hour programme of Sumi Baptist Akukuhou Kuqhakulu (SBAK) Nito Mount Zunheboto began Friday at Philimi village with number of delegates exceeding the hall capacity as impressive number of guests poured in. SBAK Executive Secretary, Rev Yevito Sumi invoked God’s blessing and declared open the Revival Hour under the theme, ‘Isutsa Chilulo’ (Hear my voice).
Delivering the sermon, NTC principal, Niholi H. Shohe stressed on two points – one, to renew and strengthen the bond of love with God and two, to be prepared for the second coming of Jesus. Quoting from the Bible, the speaker said that the people no more loved God as much as they loved Him when they first found Him. “We have fallen in love with God but we don’t give effort to keep alive and nurture that love,” she said and urged the congregation to ponder whether the love between them and God was still alive.
Niholi also told the people to be prepared for the second coming of Jesus as no one knew when the time would come. She said that the gathered congregation was itself a point that the people were getting ready for the second coming. Niholi called upon the people to heed to God’s warning and also emphasized on willfully obeying God as the Biblical Abraham did. Earlier, head GB Philimi village delivered the welcome address and wished the delegates a blessed programme. Philimi women folk presented the welcome song while women singing group ‘Niza Lejo’ presented special numbers.
Speakers for Saturday morning and evening services include youth secretary, Dr. Hokheto Chophy and URF director, Rev Shekiye Achumi respectively.
