The 1st National Voters’ Day would be celebrated on January 25 at DC’s Conference Hall, Kohima at 12 noon. The programme would be chaired by DC Kohima & District Election Officer, Bei-u Angami. A brief profile of elections would be delivered by deputy chief electoral officer, N. Moa Aier. Welcome speech would be delivered by assistant election officer, Kohima, Vekho Vero. Presentation of EPILs/badges/prizes to new voters and winners of SMS slogan competition are the highlights of the programme. Electoral registration officer & ADC, Kohima, Alun Hangsing would deliver vote of thanks.
PHEK: District level national voters’ day will be organised at Phek DC’s conference hall on January 25 at 12 noon. All head of offices, colleges/schools, NGOs (CPO, PPF, CSU/PSU/youth front/mothers association), town council advisors, booth level officers and registered voters have been requested to attend the felicitation ceremony function. Subscription of voters pledge would be conducted at the function.
MON: All administrative officers under Mon Headquarter, Block Level Officers (BLO), and newly enrolled voters for polling station No: 1 to 13 and 24, under 45 A/C, Mon town have been directed to attend the programme on January 25 at 11am at DC’s conference hall, Mon. DC Dinesh Kumar requested Mon town council, recognized political parties and NGOs under Mon district to depute at least three representatives to attend the function.
AR medical camp
DIMAPUR: 21 Assam Rifles conducted a free medical camp at Aghunato village on January 19 under aegis of Headquarters 7 Sector Assam Rifles. According to a defence release, a team comprising of two doctors and four medical staff conducted the camp. A total of 145 patients including ladies and children received free medical treatment and free medicines. The camp was a huge success and the villagers and civil administration expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Assam Rifles for conducting the camp.
