The 28th annual day-cum-picnic of Tragopan Club, Viswema was held Saturday at St. Joseph Higher Secondary School.
Deputy secretary education, Khrüpi Sothu, NCS was the main speaker.
In his address, Sothu exhorted the Club members to be united and work towards uplifting the Club under its motto ‘Strength lies in unity’.
On the occasion, a new team of office bearers for the tenure 2011-2013 was also elected with advocate, Vitsorel Lcho as president and Er. Medoseho Sothu as general secretary.
Other office bearers include vice presidents – Vizoto Kin and Viraseto Neikha; joint secretary – Vivashera Nekha, social & cultural-cum-health secretary – Mahel Kin; games & sports secretary – Evül Sothu, asst. games & sports secretary – Nyiese Pusa, treasurer – Vieyol Kweho, women coordinator – Vihozonü Rhütso, property secretaries – Neizosanü Sothu and Ketovinü Lcho and advisor – Er. Zale Neikha.
Chaired by president Zale Neikha, the programme commenced with Deacon of Viswema CRC Puzashe Neikha pronouncing the invocation.
Neikesenü Sothu gave the general secretary report while folk song was presented by combined team of Eso Whe and Theltsü Whe and Ekhro Whe and Zake Whe.
Vice president Meyiekul Noswe delivered the vote of thanks.
