On the occasion of Republic Day, Rotary Club Kohima conducted a charity service with children of Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home on Wednesday.
The programme was attended by members of Rotary Club and other well wishers.
Speaking at the charity service, Rotarian Rev.Dr. Tseibu Rutsa from Baptist Mission Church Kohima told the children that they were the most privileged people in the eyes of God. He said that one can enjoy the treasures of God if only one recognizes the love of God. He encouraged the children to fear and walk in the principles of God.
A brief statement on the works of Rotary Club was delivered by Rotarian Dr. Kezevituo Keditsu. He highlighted that Rotary Club was taking up project of providing protein diet to Kohima Orphanage home for the last two years, besides sponsoring two students of the orphanage home.
Songs were presented by children of the Orhpanage Home, and members of Rotary Club, Menguseü and Keneilezonuo. The programme was chaired by Rotarian Dr. Toshevi Sema Keditsu, president of Rotary club Kohima.
