More Republic Day celebration reports

Longleng: The 62nd Indian Republic Day was celebrated at Longleng district on January 26 with S. Pangnyu Phom parliamentary secretary RD and REPA as chief guest.
The chief guest unfurled the National Flag and took salute from five parade contingents. Pangnyu also inaugurated the exhibition stalls put up by the departments of agriculture, sericulture, industries and commerce, and ATMA Longleng.
Other highlights of the day included performance of male folk dance by Nyengching Union Longleng and female folk dance by Pongo Unionla representing the Phomla Hoichem.
Another important event of the day was administration of free anti-rabies vaccine by the department of Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Longleng.
Later in the afternoon, a football exhibition match was played between Officers Xl & NGOs Xl where the NGOs Xl won the match by 2:1 goals. The program was attended by government officials in Longleng and general public.
Chen: Along with the rest of the country, Chen SDO Headquarter celebrated Republic Day at SDO rest house, Chen Town. SDO (C) Chen, Lungheising as chief guest unfurled the flag and delivered the Republic Day speech.
Tseminyu: Tseminyu sub-division also celebrated the 62nd India Republic Day at RSA ground Tseminyu Old Town with MLA and Advisor IT and C, Vikho-o Yhoshü as chief guest. Highlights of the day included folk dance, tug of war between Rengma Mothers Association and ladies government staff Tseminyu.
The day long celebration was marked by exhibition stalls put up by departments of SDAO, SM Industries, BDO, SDO (SC) and fisheries. As part of the celebration India Red Cross Society Tseminyu visited patients in the hospital.
NABARD, RO and NSCB: National Bank of Agriculture (NABARD, RO) and State Co-operative Bank (NSCB) celebrated 62nd Republic day at the office premises on Wednesday. General Manager NABARD, RO Dr. U.S Saha unfurled the national flag, while guard of honour was presented by the security staff of NSCB,
DMC: Dimapur Music College (DMC) celebrated the 62nd Republic day at the college premises with ADRM, NF Rly. P. Gogoi hoisting the flag. Others who spoke on the occasion were Anjali Roy, Sankar Biswas, Chitra Saha.
