All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA) has expressed disappointment with the government’s slow follow-up action in deploying required subject teachers to all the vacant posts in the recently upgraded/opened schools.
It said assistant head masters/headmasters were yet to take charge of all the 73 newly upgraded GHS though new academic session has already started.
ANSTA president Ponchulo Wanth and general secretary, L. Asang recalled that the problem had been conveyed to authority several times but without any response so far. They said the required number of teachers to the above schools should be done at an early date so that the career of students was not affected. ANSTA has also appealed the department to issue clear cut notifications/guidelines over implementation of the Right to Education (RTE) Act as there were certain areas -such as admission system, academic aspect and punishment of students etc which were needed to be properly defined
