NPF women wing unveil uniform

Naga People’s Front (NPF) women wing Dimapur for the pride of NPF party women wing designed a ‘mekhala and shawl’. This brilliant piece of suit was exclusively designed to be worn as a uniform during any party conventions, occasions, or events.
Describing the significance of the NPF ‘mekhala and shawl’, president NPF women wing Dimapur division Kerei Pfukha said the suit would be a signature of peace, unity, love, development and dedication to contribute to the society as women and be a “reminder to us to contribute the best of our abilities to the society”. The blue and white combination of the mekhela has been drawn from the significance of NPF party flag, while the color green in the border lining indicates liveliness, growth and progress.
“Every plant shoots into greenery during spring spreading joy and liveliness and women can relate to green significantly” Pfukha said. Pfukha also added like the plants during spring, women leaders of the society, should step up spreading joy, peace, progress, growth and liveliness not only among the party people but also in the society, women should grow and progress in coherence with men folk, striving to unite and not to create disparities.
