Reacting to the NSF demand on the declaration of LDA-cum-Computer Assistants result, chief secretary Lalthara said that the entire result was ready and was awaiting nod from the Kohima Bench of Guwahati High Court.
Speaking to Nagaland Post over phone, Lalthara who is in Guwahati on the border issue said that the Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) has filed litigation in Kohima Bench of Guwahati High Court asserting that the Eastern Nagas were given more advantage in job reservation comparing with the other backward tribes of Nagaland.
He said that the Kohima Bench of Guwahati High Court had directed the P&AR department not to declare the results till it gave clearance.
Lalthara said that the P&AR department has given detailed report to the Guwahati High Court regarding job reservation quota. He also said that the Chakhesangs were not losing as they have been fairly treated, given their present status among the tribes of Nagaland. He also maintained that the Chakhesang people were no longer backward as they have advanced in all spheres of life. Lalthara said he would be following up the matter as soon as he returns.
The NSF January 27 urged the state government to declare the results without further delay since sufficient time has been given to the government. The LDA-cum-computer assistant examinations were held October 2 last year.
