Dist governor Rtn to visit : The district governor of Rotary Club International District 3240, Rtn Ashok Kumar Agarwal would be visiting Rotary Club Kohima on January 30 next. Informing this, Rtn Robert Khuvung, Secretary, Kohima Rotary Club stated that an official reception is being organized at the Hotel Japfu at 5pm and requested all Rotarians of Rotary Club Kohima to attend the program.
Organic Kholar, Naga dal for sale : Organic Kholar and Naga dal cultivated from Moya village under Pungro sub-division in Kiphire district would be on sale at Mao gate bazaar Kohima, on Wednesday. The Kholar and Naga dal would be available at the rate of `40 per kg and ` 2,480 per bag.
UCC meeting : A general meeting of all residents of Upper Chandmari colony (UCC) Kohima has been convened on January 31, 3pm at Panchayat hall to discuss the forthcoming Panchayat council election. Upper Chandmari Panchayat Council has asked all residents to attend the meeting.
Training for census at Chiephobozou: Census training for Chiephobozou sub-division would be conducted from January 31 to February 2 at customary court hall, ADC office Chiephobozou. Chiephobozou ADC, Martha R. Ritse informed all enumerators and supervisors to attend the training.
SVSU general meeting: The chairman of golden jubilee planning committee of Sitimi Village Students’ Union (SVSU) has convened a general meeting cum donation service on February 6, 8:30am at its banker’s residence.
KSON 25th general conference: Kuki Students’ Organization Nagaland (KSON) would be celebrating its 25th general conference from February 4-6 at Bongkolong village, Peren district with Tokheho Yepthomi, leader congress legislative party as the chief guest. All the constituent units have been requested to attend the conference.
Tenyidzevi village, Peren general meeting: Tenyidzevi village, Peren has convened a general meeting on February 10, 10am. All the villagers have been requested to attend the meeting.
GCK condemns kidnapping and forgery: Gariphema Chazouketuo Krotho (GCK) has condemned the kidnapping and forgery case by one Duotsolie Mets of Gariphema village, a non-registered member of the organization, on November 26. GCK further appealed to the authority to punish the culprit according to the law of the land.

KBES Ekievong Okho Thyutasanta Etsa: KBES has convened ‘Ekievong Okho Thyutasanta’ (executive committee) on February 15 and 16, 4pm January 15 and 16 at KBES Mission centre Vankhosung, Wokha. All KBES executive committee members have been requested to attend the meeting.

Charismatic retreat and children fellowship programme: Charismatic retreat and children fellowship programme was organised by parish priest Rev. Fr. Mathias Dias OFM CAP and team. The retreat was held at St. Francis of Assisi Church Lazami from January 21 to 23 conducted by Rev. Fr. Rony Khetri Assam and team.Meanwhile, 120 Catholic children from Lazami, Natsumi, and Pughoboto participated in the children fellowship programme held at Christ king Church Mukalimi from January 14 to 16. Speaker for the event was Br. Salvadore OFM CAP Choitar Parish Manipur.
SCPV fetes: Sumi Community Padumpukhuri Village (SCPV) has congratulated pastor NCRC Church Padumpukhuri Rev. Tokheho Swu on being conferred Reverend by NCRC Sumi council HQ Pughoboto. The community further wished him a bright future in his ministry.
RSU felicitates: Regiru Students’ Union (RSU) has felicitated D. Lisiru on being elected as village council chairman of Reguri village on January 26. The union also thanked public leaders and villagers for selecting the chairman wisely. RSU further appealed to all the newly elected council members and chairman to work in unity to develop the community.
VKRSU annual conference: V. K. Range Students’ Union (VKRSU) held its 35th annual conference from January 3 to 6 at Litta old village under the theme ‘To strive, to emerge and to shelter’. Chief guests for the occasion were ex-minister Kakheto Kinny, officer in-charge Nagaland workshop Chumukedima Er. Ghoshito Chishi, and DAO Kohima Akheli Assumi. Resource persons during the conference were advocate Mokokchung Kiyevi Assumi, child evangelist SBAK (Aizuto) Aniho Chishi, and former president SSU Vihepu.
1st phase IPPI at Kiphire: First phase of Intensive Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) at Kiphire was held on January 23 and 24 at Police Point with deputy commissioner (DC) C.M Tsanglao administering the first polio drop. The operation was monitored by 48 supervisors comprising of chief medical officer (CMO) Dr. I. Sungit Jamir, medical superintendent Dr. Yanthan, deputy CMO Dr. Khriesilie, district immunization officer Dr. Kibang and other staff from district hospital and chief medical officer. Kiphire town Sangtam Baptist youth endeavor took the initiative in carrying out the operation in and around Kiphire town. A team of 512 health workers for 128 booths were sent out to every part of the district to ensure that no child was missed out. Meanwhile, household visits continued till January 25 and a total of 8300 under 5 children have been administered.
