NH, I.Imkong condole ‘Gen’ Sani’s death

: Expressing shock over the demise of Naga leader “general” Saniba Ao, who passed away in his native town, Mokokchung January 28, the Naga Hoho Saturday said in his death Nagas have not only lost a veteran Naga nationalist, but his absence from Naga political scene at this crucial situation would leave a void.
“The Naga Hoho with a heavy heart bids our final goodbye to a well known legendary figure in the making of the Naga History, who also dedicated his entire life till his last breath for the service of the Naga people,” a condolence message from Naga Hoho president Keviletuo Kiewhuo and general secretary P.Chuba Ozukum read.
Late “Gen.” Saniba Ao was elected as Naga Hoho vice president at Zunheboto in 1998 and served till 2003 with sheer dedication and commitment, they said, and added that he was a committed “Naga nationalist, a vanguard and a tireless fighter for the well being of the Naga people.”
The Hoho also paid tributes to late “Gen.” Saniba Ao for the vibrant life he has led and his example for being a true leader for the people.
It also conveyed solidarity and deepest condolences to near and dear ones and wished God Almighty bestow solace at this moment of grief and sorrow.
In another condolence message, MLA I.Imkong said late “gen.” Sani’s service to the cause of the Nagas was “legendary” and his contributions during his lifetime in various fields were “commendable.”
The deceased leader had been serving in different capacities for the cause of the Naga nation and rose to become a general of the Naga Army, he said. On his death, the MLA said Nagas have lost an eminent leader whose exemplary deeds and contributions to the Nagas and to the Ao Community particularly to the people of Changkikong was admirable and worthy of emulation by the present and future generations.
He further expressed deepest condolences and prayer that God Almighty would offer solace at this time of grief to the bereaved family.
