KASU conference at M''pur

The first general conference of Kuilong Area Students’ Union (KASU), Manipur was held on January 15 and 16 at Rienboulota (Lemta) Village, Manipur on the theme, “Retrospection of our Society.” The program was graced by Kevise Sogutso, President Nagaland Timber Traders Union (NTTU) and Z. Kikhunbo, general secretary DCC Tamenlong district, Manipur on the opening ceremony and valedictory session.
Each of the guest each donated `30,000, `2000 to two cultural groups, `1000 each for special song and folk song; and `15,000 respectively.
The resource persons for the conference were, Namsidinbo, PHD; Wichamdinbo Matainamai, Research Scholar (JNU, Delhi); and N.K. Keringliu, teacher. Pausuigumbe Lungalang, general secretary ZSUN gave solidarity message.
Further, the union has expressed gratitude to all, including donors T.R. Zeliang, minister of planning and co-ordination, VTY & AH, evaluation and parliamentary affairs govt. of Nagaland; T. Hekuto Zhimomi, advisor (NTTU); Huska Zhimomi, vice president (NTTU); Adani Mao, member (NTTU); Phutovi, member (Timber Union Nagaland); Izierangbe Hau, CAO Zeliangrong region (NSCN/GPRN); K. Humaliabo, vice chairman ADC, Tamenlong, Manipur, N. Tadaubo, member ADC, Tamenlong, Manipur; Tuntanbou Menber, ADC, Tamenlong, Manipur; Tagumbo, vice president, LPO (Peren); Kadilinbo, ABSI; and Taraibou, Nallong village. Easther Zeliang was crowned Miss Conference, Maroubuiliu and Valley Rose were adjudged as first and second runners up apart from other sub titles.
