NU SASRD team participate at ‘All India Agri Unifest’

: A 19 member team of B. Sc (Agri) students from Nagaland University (NU), SASRD Medziphema campus participated in the 12th All India Agri Unifest held from January 17 to 21 at Anand Agricultural University (AAU), Gujarat.
The team was led by Dr. K. K. Jha, team manager and programme officer, NSS Unit School of Agriculture Sciences and Rural Development (SASRD). Altogether 35 Agricultural Universities participated at the Agri Unifest which encompassed competition in the events of music, theatre, folk dance, literary and drawing and painting. SASRD team participated in nine events comprising folk dance, mime, mono acting, extempore, elocution, debate, quiz, on the spot painting and cartooning. This was for the first time that School of Agriculture Sciences and Rural Development students got an opportunity to participate in the Agri Unifest.
Dr. K. K. Jha, team manager stated SASRD students performed well, and got in-depth exposure of varied cultural heritage across the Indian states and also enriched their knowledge and performing skills from other participating teams. The team also visited AMUL and Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) and returned to Nagaland on January 28.
