Three held for extortion in Kohima

: Three extortionists were apprehended by Kohima North Police Station personnel when they were trying to extort money from a private residence at DBS colony. The detained trio included Kevilhousieo Rülho alias Asieu(22) from Nerhema Village; Kevineisa Virie alias Neisa (25) from Nerhema village; and Terhuo Thele alias James alias Ngulonyi (34) from Mesulumi village.
Police sources said that the three miscreants were demanding `2000 from the residence of government servant at DBS colony Kohima on Saturday.
On receiving information at around 2:30 pm, police personal at North Police Station rushed to the spot but missed the miscreants who fled the place. One of the miscreants who were on the rooftop alerted his accomplice on seeing police personnel after which they fled towards a nearby jungle. Kevilhousieo, one of the miscreants, was later caught by police during a search operation, while the other two escaped. However, his two accomplices were apprehended later on Sunday.
