Biz prospect in Naga inhabited areas

There are ample avenues for the Nagas in Indian side to invest and do business with their brothers in the present Myanmar and there is so much expectation on the Western Nagas.
Nagas living in the eastern country reportedly told the visiting team from Nagaland state led by parliamentary secretary for law and justice, Yitachu, during their recent “business investment” trip to Yangon and Mandalay. It was learnt that there is rich deposit of oil and natural gas, gold, precious stones and other forest and minerals in the Naga self-administered areas.
“They don’t want others to come and invest in their areas but want our Naga brothers to do the same and they’ve expressed so much expectation from us”, commissioner and secretary IPR and NRE, M.K. Vero who was also among the state delegation told Nagaland Post today.
The team from Nagaland, consisting of NSMDC chairman Kipili Sangtam, Marcofed chairman C. L. John and two other businessmen- Thepfuneituo Rio and Kuovisie-o Rio, met various Naga leaders including political party leaders, newly elected MPs, MLAs and other Church and civil organization leaders during the trip. Moreover, the team also met the management and staff of the popular company run by Nagas –‘Shwe Naung Yan (SYN) Manufacturing & Trading Co.Ltd.
