Bike lifters nabbed

Personnel of North Police Station Kohima nabbed two habitual bike lifters and recovered a stolen motor-bike on Tuesday.
According to police sources, police personnel manning Meriema check gate intercepted and detected the pillion riders riding on the stolen vehicle during the wee hours Tuesday.
The duo identified as Pavika H. Assumi (23) son of Hokishe Assumi, a BA-III student of Government College Zunheboto and Boto N. Zhimomi (18) son of Nihozhe also a Class-12 student of Olympic Hr. Sec. School Zunheboto had reportedly confessed to have stolen the bike from Kitsubozou area on January 31 night and were caught while trying to escape. However, one of their accomplices is still absconding.
Meanwhile, owner of the bike (NL01-E-2532) identified as Kikruselie Pienyü on Wednesday expressed gratitude to the officer-in-charge North Police Station Neivolie Chadi, who is also recipient of President’s Police Medal and his subordinate PHC N. Nchumbemo Lotha and UBC Zakielhoulie Angami and others for the timely recovery of the stolen bike and nabbing the culprits.
