RIELIT to offer computer hardware course

Deputy commissioner of Mokokchung Lithrongla G. Ghishi on Wednesday inaugurated the certificate course on computer hardware as the chief guest. The course would be offered by Regional Institute of e-Learning and Information Technology (RIELIT), Chuchuyimlang.
Lithrongla also inaugurated the computer hardware laboratory. The certificate course is sponsored by IGNOU Institute of Vocational Education and Training (IIVET) Shillong and to be conducted by RIELIT, in collaboration with MGIED (Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education and Development) and NGA (Nagaland Gandhi Ashram).
While speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural function, Lithrongla congratulated the open heartedness and vision of the people of the region especially Chuchuyimlang for their generosity and sincerity. She appreciated the people of the area for facilitating such an institute to come up in the vicinity.
The deputy commissioner said “If there was no peaceful co-existence and if there was no proper security with the peoples help and dedicated service was not there, nothing can move or go forward”.
Lithrongla also thanked Natwar Thakkar, Founder Secretary of NGA for his dedicated service for the uplift of the Naga society and further appreciated the infrastructure of the institute which boasts of having better facilities as compared to other institutes.
While delivering the welcome address and a brief introduction of the course, Er. Lanuwabang, deputy director for RIELIT highlighted on the importance of computer hardware saying IT and computers have become an indispensable tool in all walks of life. He also disclosed that out of 54 applicants, only 30 were selected for the course.
The inaugural program was chaired by Ladongwati, invocation was pronounced by Temjen Pastor CTBC, brief explanation of MGIED and vocational education by Prof R.R. Singh, Project Director of MGIED IGNOU, exhortations by Alemtetba, member of Chuchuyimlang village council and Natwar Thakkar Founder Secretary of NGA and vote of thanks by G. Ram IIVET Shillong.
