50 bedded multi-specialty hospital in Dmu

A 50bedded multi-specialty hospital with 24 hours emergency, pharmacy and laboratory services, Nikos Hospital and Research Centre was inaugurated on Sunday at Midland colony Dimapur near Little Star School. The hospital would start functioning from January 10.
‘Nikos’ which means ‘Victory’ in Greek was dedicated by Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church Pastor, Rev Inaho G. Swu in the presence of doctors, nurses, hospital staff and well wishers.
Giving a brief background of the hospital, proprietor, Dr. Victo A. Wotsa an obstetrician and gynecologist said the hospital was equipped with state of the art medical equipments and facilities that were second to none in the country. He said the hospital would offer services of some of the finest medical specialists, nursing, technical and other staff highly trained in healthcare.
Dr. Ikheto Sema-general surgeon, Dr. Sunil-obstetrician and sonologist, Dr. Yiben- Sonologist, Dr. Y.G Zhimomi- paediatrician, Dr. B.K Sethi-general surgeon, Dr. Nikeshe-surgeon, Dr. Janet and Dr. Abeni-dental surgeons and Dr. Panger-RMO are the team of doctors who would be working in the new hospital.
The proprietor also felicitated construction workers, masons, plumbers, electrician, carpenters, SBI, Nagaland Paint House, Sanitary Plaza and Er. Logus - architect of the hospital for the successful completion of the hospice.
The inaugural function was attended by medical fraternity and host of well-wishers.
Facilities available at the hospital include ICU and NICU, operation theatre, laparoscopy/key hole surgery, endo urology procedures, 3D imaging ultra sonography etc. Delivering vote of thanks, Dr. Ikheto Sema expressed gratitude to all those who contributed and supported towards establishing the new hospital.
