Rev. Chujang was felicitated on Sunday at Chungtia Baptist Church by Er. Temsu Wathi and family members in recognition of his noble service towards the community.
He will receive a token amount of `1,000 per month from Er. Temsu Wathi and family from the month of January.

Er. Temsu in his brief thanksgiving speech elaborated as to how he could become what he is today. He vividly explained the happenings during 1977 and thanked Rev. Chujang and Chungtia Arogo for organising revival cum Bible study crusade at Mariani area where many including him were blessed.
Besides his primary job in the central government posted at Mokokchung as Scientist-D & District Informatics Officer (NIC), Er. Temsu is also actively associated in other NGO’s namely – Assam Valley Baptist Mission as its president, Border Peace Coordination Committee (Assam-Nagaland) as coordinator, Officers Club Mokokchung as secretary, Blood Donor Forum Mokokchung as president and secretary, Mariani Ao Baptist Church.
Rev. P. Chujangniken was born in the year March 1919 at Chungtia village and married T. Asangla on April 15, 1944 during World War-II.
He was sent to Jorhat Mission Centre in the year Feb 1948 for a short-term Bible course by the Chungtia Arogo.
Chujang served Chungtia Baptist Church for nearly 45 years. Currently he is helping the Church voluntarily and lives at Chungtia village with his wife who is now 86.
In 1977, he volunteered to visit Mariani and organized a revival and Bible study for Aos living in and around Mariani. During this period, 11 persons got baptized by him and Mariani Ao Baptist Church was established.
Er. Temsu Wathi was amongst these 11 persons who were baptized by Chujang.
